Contest Rules 
1. Entrants may enter up to two (2) quilts to be juried for the show.
2.All quilts must consist of natural materials, such as 100% cotton, silk or
linen, however the batting may contain other materials.
3. A quilt must consist of 3 layers, i.e. top, batting and backing. Tied quilts
will not be accepted. All quilts must be quilted by hand or machine. The machine
quilting must be the hand-guided style, an overall pattern will not be accepted.
Embellishments are allowed.
4. Quilts must be an original design and must relate in some way to Kona coffee.
5. Quilts must be 40 x 40" (1 x 1m). And must have a 4" (10cm) casing the full
width of the top of the quilt on the backside. Quilts without a casing will
not be accepted.
6. Quilts must have a label in the bottom right corner of the back including
the name of the quilt and the quilt maker.
7. All entries must arrive clean and undamaged to be shown.
8. A non refundable fee of $20.- per quilt (payable in U.S. check or money order)
must accompany each entry. Non U.S. entries only may pay by credit card.
9. All quilts must be a single unit. No rigid frames or mounting devices will
be allowed.
10. All decisions of the judges and jurors are final. The Kona Coffee Quilt
Contest reserves the right to reject any entry, including those that do not
comply with the quilt contest rules.
11. All entry forms must be accompanied by two 4 x 6"(10 x 15cm) color photographs
of the quilt. One should taken straight on of the total quilt only. The second
one should be a close up showing detail and quilting. Photographs will not be
returned.
12. Late entries will not be accepted. No telephone or e-mail entries will be
allowed. You will receive written confirmation along with shipping information,
if your quilt has been juried into the show.
13. The Kona Coffee Quilt Contest will take every precaution to safeguard each
quilt after arrival and during the show. However we will not be responsible
for any loss or damage. Insurance must be provided by the entrant.
14. Mail entry form with fee and photographs to be received by September 1,
